RAPID PIT STOPS: MARCH HARE DELI

Market Rasen, Lincolnshire LN8 3HL

If you’re ever riding around Lincoln, the March Hare is a prefect lunch or coffee break stop, especially if you’re partial to an all-day breakfast.

PARKING:

You can park your bike on the cobbled old market place, and even grab a table outside when the sun’s shining.

WHERE TO RIDE:

The roads around this part of Lincolnshire are some of the best in the East. You have the Bardney bends, a favourite but quite technical piece of road that leads up from Woodhall Spa. It’s a series of hairpins, some quite blind, some quite open - a great area for developing forward vision, road positioning and machine control.

Leading up from Bardney heading north on the Wragby road, this now becomes more sweeping, but just as technical. It’s a great road if you get it right. After Wragby, head north towards Market Rasen on another classic stretch of flat, but no less demanding piece of tarmac that’s interspersed with a few 90 degree bends.

Stop at the March Hare…refresh, then maybe head further North on the A46 to Caistor, then head right (East) towards Horncastle or Cadwell Park, where a variety of undulating and entertaining roads await you, as you traverse the edge of the Lincolnshire wolds.
